Swim At Your Own Risk

?

I teach my grandson to play cards.

Eight years old, but no fish, here.

I explain rules and strategy, and we play.

500 rummy, first game I win.

Let's play again, Grampa.

Second game, I surge ahead, but...

Geez, lead's cut 480 to 460.

Kid's good, but needs a lesson.

I'll go out fast, show him how it's done

He goes for points, his hand a rainbow.

Ha, the right card and I'm out.

It doesn't come and it doesn't come.

He lays down meld after meld,

And I'm stuck with only two sets.

Fnally, I'm out. I win.

But, Grampa, I have a lot more points.

Okay, we'll check the rules.

Standard rules: most points wins.

No fish, here; kid's a shark.
