I have to admit, I was out in the chaos as well, finishing my last minute shopping. On my way to the line to pay for my findings my phone rang. Normally I wouldn?t have answered the phone but I recognized the number to be one of my favorite client. He explained to me that he had checked his Aweber Autoresponder account and noticed nine new prospects in the email list. He was excited and confused at the same time. Excited because those were his first emails from the campaign we had created and confused because he didn?t quite know what to do next. I realized his dilemma was quite common with many new Internet marketers and business owners so I decided to put a list of how he can promote his business with email marketing and convert his prospects in clients. Keep reading it you want to know how to promote your business and convert your prospect into client.

1. Set The Tone From the Start

It?s important to set the tone of your message from the start. For example, on the subscription form, inform potential customers of what kinds of messages you plan to send. Be sure to tell them how many and what kinds of messages they?re signing up to receive. This will help newer subscribers be aware of your frequency and content.

2. Make their eye pop

This is the absolute most important part of your email. After all it?s what going to get them to open your email. Catch your reader?s attention with an interesting or entertaining subject line. Any message that contains a dull subject line or appears at all suspicious will most likely wind up being deleted. So be creative a with your headline. Take a look the headline on the tabloids in your grocery store.

3. Content Is King

Marketers who truly understand how to promote their business know that content is the driving force behind their business. When writing you email be sure that you provide informative and interesting content. You only have a few line to capture you readers attention so take every chance to keep them engaged. Follow the three Bs.

4. When Should Send Your Email.

There are many theory on the best day to send your emails out. However, a good rule of thumb is consider both the content of your message and your subscribers? schedules. Business-related newsletters are best mailed during working days, such as Tuesday or Wednesday. Entertainment related mailings are best suited for weekends when readers are off and relaxing.

5. Make it Juicy

Provide your customers with an incentive in your emails. Your customers are more likely to deal with you if there is some type of incentive involved. For example, you can offer free shipping on purchases over a certain minimum dollar amount for those who click on a certain link and place an order on your site. Or you can give them a one time only offer.

6. Get Them To Take Action

You?re not promoting your business for the fun of it. So always include a call to action within your emails.? Tell your subscribers what it is that needs to be do at the end of the email. People like being directed on what to do? If the email contains links, provide specific instruction on what to do with the link. Repeat the instruction in the P.S. sections of your messages.

7. Check? double check? triple check

Proof your emails before you hit the ?send? button. Sending an email with typos or incorrect information is bad for your image. Prior to sending each message, print a layout sample to ensure that the message appears as you intended. Don?t forget, if you have embedded links, to check the links to be sure they function properly.

I?m sure I can go on and on with additional instructions but now it you follow these simple instructions in your email you will be sure to convert your subscribers in to clients. Remember, email marketing is a vital part in how you promote your business. This is where your prospects are converted to clients so be sure to take it very seriously.
