Paycheck Fairness Act stalls in Congress ? Business Management ...

The Obama administration?s top workplace legislative initiative this year?the Paycheck Fairness Act?died last month when Senate Democrats failed to muster the needed votes.

Supporters say the bill would help close the pay gap between men and women. Business-backed opponents say it would add new restrictions on employers, including putting the burden on them to show that men-women pay gaps were caused by reasons other than gender, and ease the requirements for bringing lawsuits.
