July is Half Over, Babies, Freezer Cooking and Other Random ...

Can you believe it? ?This summer is flying by?kinda like this weekend. ?We had a pretty busy day yesterday, and didn?t get much accomplished around the house. ?Kevin?s family threw us a second baby shower, and we had such a great time. ?I hope to share photos and more about that later. ?Did you do anything special this weekend? ?

So after having two baby showers our living room looks like a cross between Babies R Us and the baby department at Walmart. ?I feel like I am never going to get organized! ?I desperately need the nursery finished so I can start putting things in their place. ?We still have a lot to do?hopefully I can share progress soon. ?

I am officially just over 31 weeks along. ?We went in for an ultrasound last week and the baby was measuring 3.5 weeks larger than average. ?Looks like we might be having the world?s largest baby?or he?s coming next month (which I really hope is the case!). ?

While I start to prepare for baby I have been thinking about ways to stay?organized?once he is here. ?I have been looking into freezer cooking (image via).

Has anyone tried this? ?I have spent the better part of the last hour checking out Once a Month Mom.?It is a pretty awesome blog that details how to make about a months worth of food in one day. ?It even has a grocery list where you can adjust the number of servings you want and step by step instructions on what to cook on your day-o-cooking. ?She offers special?dietary?menus as well as Weight Watcher friendly options (which is going to be great for me in a couple months). ?

A months worth of food is a lot of food to stuff into a freezer (especially?if you have a tiny french door freezer like we have). ?So if I really want to start doing this I?m going to need a stand alone freezer?.ugh?add it to the list! ?

It looks like we can get one for around $200 which isn?t too bad. ?It would be nice to have even if I didn?t want to cook like a maniac once a month. ?Does anyone have a stand alone freezer that they like? Anyone? ?Anyone? ?

Well, Kevin and I are off to a 2.5 hour class on labor and delivery?fun times ahead!! ?Hopefully your night is a little more exciting than ours!
